Our Primary Program

• Ages 3-6
• Half day program for 3 and 4 year olds (8:00 am-11:45 am)
• Full day program for Kindergarten students (age 5 as of September 1st of current school year) (8:00 am- 2:45 pm)
• Developmentally appropriate curriculum in the subjects of practical life, sensorial, language, math and cultural (history, geography, botany and zoology)
• Hands-on materials
• Freedom within limits

Maria Montessori believed that the first six years are the most critical to a child’s development and lay the foundation for all future development. The materials in the primary classroom were carefully developed for the child to ‘learn by doing’ and to foster each child’s independence and a love of learning.
