Factoid:

Maria Montessori graduated from the medical school of the University of Rome in 1896. She was the first woman to practice medicine in Italy.

Our Primary Program

  • Ages 3-6
  • Half day program for 3 and 4 year olds
  • Full day program for Kindergarten students (age 5 as of September 1st of current school year)
  • Developmentally appropriate curriculum in the subjects of practical life, sensorial, language, math and cultural (history, geography, botany and zoology)

Maria Montessori believed that the first six years are the most critical to a child’s development and lay the foundation for all future development. The materials in the primary classroom were carefully developed for the child to ‘learn by doing’ and to foster each child’s independence and a love of learning.
